I am a little late in posting this one as this past week has been quite heavy. I’ve been dealing with a lot of homework as well as some personal issues. However, we are ready to get on it!

Last week in class we got to participate in our own class Ed Camp. For those that don’t know what Ed Camp is, it is a form of pro d for teachers that is completely led by the people attending. In the morning, attendees arrive and begin to fill up a big board of different questions, ideas etc. to be discussed during the day. These then get divided and set in different rooms, where attendees can choose to attend any one of them (with the option to leave and join a different discussion at anytime).

Our class ended up having 9 different discussions that we could choose from. I chose to participate in gender identity, classroom management, and supporting ELL students. All of these discussions that I participated in were super engaging, and relevant as we had chosen them ourselves. It felt like a really safe environment to bounce ideas off of each other and I feel like I got a lot out of every one of them! If this ever pops us as a pro-d choice for me in the future, I will definitely attend!
