I messed up again! I meant to do all my baking last night (Saturday) so I chose a recipe from my Pinterest board that I thought would take no time at all. I even went so far as to check the prep times of all the the other recipes I have pinned except for this one. So imagine my surprise when I finish up the dough and realize it has to chill for at least 4 hours (at 9:30 pm). Suddenly this quick recipe turned into a two day event. However, I am so happy that I went ahead with this one, the danishes are soft, sweet and soooooooo good!
It was my first time making danishes, and I honestly always thought they would be hard to make but I was pleasantly surprised, these ones were super simple. The recipe I used is from https://namelymarly.com I have used her recipes before and they always turn out great! Because of the 4 hour chill time, plus other chill times throughout this recipe you will definitely want to plan ahead if you want to make these. There is also little instruction on how to braid the dough (I think I did it wrong, but am happy with how they turned out). If you want to try this specific recipe out here is the link https://www.pinterest.ca/pin/809733208021098870 ***Note that I didn’t have any blueberries so I used some frozen blackberries that I picked this summer. (10/10 recommend using blackberries)

I loved making these, I have always found rolling dough so relaxing. I’m not sure if its because I finally feel on top of my school work but this felt like a breeze. I wasn’t stressed for time, and I thoroughly enjoyed making the danishes (even more so eating them!) As Always, Fang approved!

Hey Cara!
First of all, I want to say that I’m obsessed with your blog! The food you bake always looks SO good. Also, I love Pinterest and how handy it is for literally everything, I did not know they had food recipes though, I will have to check it out! The pastry looks so delicious and the fruit inside looks just as good!
I will have to try this recipe sometime!
Thanks for sharing!
