As I look back at my initial inquiry question I find myself contemplating if this baking project has been an effective way to manage stress while doing full time school, and part time work. I have felt more stressed out at times, when realizing that I had to somehow fit baking into my week on top of everything else. However, I have found that when actually baking (which is something I have always loved) my stress levels instantly go down. It is so nice to forget about everything for a bit and just focus on something creative (and tasty). I believe that my baking inquiry has both been helpful and stressful during this semester. If I did not need to try to fit it in every week, and just baked when I had some time, or when I was feeling particularly stressed I think it would have been extremely helpful. We are finally in the home stretch of this semester, and somehow have been assigned even more homework and projects. The last week (and next few) are jam packed with group projects, presentations, and finalizing other pieces for our classes. With all that in mind I still chose to make macarons, arguably the most challenging thing I have made to date. However, this was super enjoyable and probably my favorite inquiry baking so far.

Here is the final product, they don’t look as nice as the recipe creator (see last post on macarons), but I am proud of how they turned out. I cannot wait to make macarons again, next time I am going to make lemon lavender!
I know cats are not supposed to have chocolate, but 1 little lick can’t hurt him can it? Fang, who is on my lap as we speak, forcing me to type with one hand, definitely approves!
